Do I need an EORI number to import into Poland?
Commercial imports into Poland need an EU EORI number. Import VAT (VAT z tytułu importu towarów, standard rate 23 %) is charged on the CIF value plus duty, and the duty depends on the HS code; VAT-registered businesses can usually reclaim the VAT. Our China–Europe rail line is DDP: 16–19 days by rail, then UPS delivery, at about a third of the air price. For other lines, your quote states exactly what is included.
How is air freight charged?
By chargeable weight: the greater of actual weight and volumetric weight. Volumetric weight = length × width × height (cm) ÷ 6,000 for air freight, or ÷ 5,000 for express. Per-kg rates drop at higher weight breaks. Sea freight is charged per cubic metre.
