FAQ

How long does shipping from China to the Netherlands take?

Air freight: confirmed with your quote. Sea freight · LCL DAP: 22–25 days to port + delivery. China–Europe rail · DDP: 16–19 days + UPS delivery. Express via Hong Kong: confirmed with your quote. Times are from Shenzhen or Hong Kong; customs and final delivery can add a few days, and the schedule for your shipment is confirmed when you book.

How much does shipping from China to the Netherlands cost per kg?

Published rates: air freight from $6.62/kg plus origin and destination charges; sea freight from $138/CBM plus origin and destination charges; rail freight from $1.76/kg. Express is priced per 0.5 kg in the express table on this page. Your price depends on the chargeable weight, the goods and the delivery address: the instant estimate works it out, and a specialist confirms the total, including any duties and taxes.

Do I need an EORI number to import into the Netherlands?

Commercial imports into the Netherlands need an EU EORI number. Import VAT (btw bij invoer, standard rate 21 %) is charged on the CIF value plus duty, and the duty depends on the HS code; VAT-registered businesses can usually reclaim the VAT. Our China–Europe rail line is DDP, with both already in the price; LCL sea freight is DAP, with clearance and import taxes extra, and for other lines your quote states what is included. Send us your EORI/VAT status and HS codes and we'll confirm the duties before you ship; the EU import duty calculator estimates duty and VAT for your code.

How does sea freight from China to the Netherlands work?

LCL cargo is consolidated in Shenzhen and takes 22–25 days to a European port, then it is devanned and delivered to your door in the Netherlands (DAP). It is charged per CBM, or per 1,000 kg when the cargo is heavier, plus origin and destination charges; customs clearance fees and import duties and taxes are not included. Under roughly 15 CBM LCL is usually cheaper; above that a 20' container often wins, so send us your volume and we'll price both.

Do you ship door to door from China to the Netherlands?

Yes. We collect from your suppliers in China, or they deliver to our Shenzhen warehouse, and every line we run to the Netherlands delivers to the address: air freight with DPD or UPS delivery, where direct consolidations can arrive within 4–7 days of entering our warehouse; LCL sea freight, devanned and delivered to your door (DAP), with clearance and import taxes extra; the China–Europe rail line, duties and taxes paid (DDP), with UPS delivery to the address or an Amazon warehouse after 16–19 days by rail; and FedEx, UPS or DHL express from Hong Kong. Send us the weight or CBM, the delivery postcode and whether it goes to a business address or an Amazon warehouse.

What is DDP, and which lines include it?

DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) means the price includes customs clearance, duties and import taxes, so the goods arrive without a separate tax bill. Our China–Europe rail line is DDP: 16–19 days by rail, then UPS delivery, at about a third of the air price. For other lines, your quote states exactly what is included.

How is air freight charged?

By chargeable weight: the greater of actual weight and volumetric weight. Volumetric weight = length × width × height (cm) ÷ 6,000 for air freight, or ÷ 5,000 for express. Per-kg rates drop at higher weight breaks. Sea freight is charged per cubic metre.

Can you ship products with batteries, magnets or liquids?

Our published rates are for general cargo. Special goods need a check first: send us the product details (and the MSDS for batteries, liquids or powders) and we'll confirm whether and how it can ship, and at what price.
